Happy Holidays from The Collins'
2020 has been one for the books! The good, the bad, the ups, the downs, it has all happened this year! We started this year off moving all our spring weddings to fall due to Covid-19. We thought this was going to be a 3-4 month bump in the road and quickly realized that was not the case. It has been so trying, in so many ways, for so many people, but we are so grateful that the bumps for us have been manageable. We know that has not been the case for everyone. While there are a lot of negatives this year, focusing on positives has really helped us push through. One positive was the purchase of our first home. This has been years in the making, but we are will forever be grateful for that opportunity to grow as a family.
When fall made its appearance we got to work with so many amazing vendors and couples that proved that just because times had changed and things worked differently, didn’t mean we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful moments life continues to offer. While safety is always a top priority, thinking outside the box helps immensely in times like these and makes times with friends and family that much more special. While we have loved working and planning on fun festive events, this year has offered opportunity to add another component to our business. We recently had the privilege of working with Mimi of The Tiny Tassel. We created a custom check out station and other fixtures for her new store in downtown Charleston. That opportunity has opened so many doors and we look forward to all the new projects 2021 has to offer!
While it has been a challenging year we are truly grateful for every new experience that has come our way. We hope to continue to grow as people, makers, and business owners in the new year. While the holiday season looks a bit different and we celebrate with friends and family from afar we are taking this time to create our own traditions, slow down, and truly take a moment to be thankful for every opportunity and experience this crazy year has offered. We wish everyone a very Happy Holiday and hope the new brings new beginnings and opportunities for all of you!
With love and gratitude,
Holly + Jeremy
