Hello lovelies, my name is Holly and my husband’s name is Jeremy. We are the owners and operators of Sawdust and Sweetgrass and we would love to share our story with you! In November of 2018 we tied the knot after meeting at the University of Arkansas 11 years prior. We have a love of everything retro, especially mid-century design and love to experiment with home DIY projects. It was our 2018 wedding combined with our interests in vintage DIYs that led to our newest brain child Sawdust and Sweetgrass. When we envisioned our wedding we had so many ideas and grand plans, but what we really wanted to do was have fun! We wanted the day to reflect our personality and our style. All the little details we added really helped bring the whole day together, but the structures we created we’re the starting point for everything!
During our wedding process we were having trouble finding pieces that really spoke to our style, so when we couldn’t find them we decided to make them! Our hexagon backdrop shelf and our hexagon ceremony arch were our first two builds and also used in our wedding. It was only a couple of months later that we realized creating these unique pieces was something we loved to do to. Bringing special touches to a couple’s big day was something we wanted to continue to do.
We have also recently added event planning to our list of services in a chance to bring our unique style to your planning process as well as your event rentals. We’d love for you to join us on this journey! We can’t wait to share our new rentals, fun DIYS, our slight obsession with Halloween, and my obsession with Harry Potter, with you guys. We are looking forward to working with you and bringing our passion and love of all things unique to this beautiful industry. We’d love for you to follow along on our adventure and we hope that we are able to bring a little inspiration to your big day!
